BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM TRAINING SESSION AT ZOLDER
BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team made their first post-lockdown outing at the Zolder circuit in Belgium. The team were keen to get back into the groove and practice their pit stops.

Pasukan BMW Motorrad World Endurance membuat pertandingan pertama mereka di litar Zolder di Belgium. Pasukan ini bersemangat untuk kembali dan berlatih di pit stop mereka.
Pasukan BMW yang disokong dan dibantu oleh kilang Belgium memilih Zolder untuk melakukan beberapa pusingan pertama mereka selepas penangguhan akibat krisis kesihatan. Dengan ketiadaan Ilya Mikhalchik, yang masih tidak dapat meninggalkan Ukraine, dan Markus Reiterberger, yang tidak dapat hadir, Kenny Foray adalah satu-satunya barisan tiga pelumba BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team untuk masuk ke litar. Dia dapat menguji tiga motorsikal S 1000 RR yang telah disiapkan untuk dua perlumbaan EWC berikutnya: 24 Heures Motos dan Bol d’Or.
Acara awal ini juga bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan kru pit multi nasional Pasukan BMW Motorrad World Endurance bersama untuk menghidup dan membina semula tindakan refleks mereka, mengoptimumkan masa di pit stop dan mempersiapkan pembaikan kecemasan sewaktu perlumbaan.
Steven Casaer, pengarah teknikal pasukan: “Kami mencapai kemajuan yang baik. Kami mencuba kaedah membrek yang berbeza dan menemui kaedah yang jauh lebih cepat dan lebih berkesan, terutamanya untuk penukaran brek. Kami tidak melakukan apa-apa setakat ini, tetapi lebih baik untuk bersiap sedia agar terbiasa dengan tugas itu. Kami juga melakukan beberapa latihan pembaikan kecemasan sekiranya berlaku kemalangan. Mekanik melakukan kerja dengan hebat, perkara sedemikian tidak berlaku. ”
Kenny Foray, penunggang: “Sangat hebat berada di Zolder. Ini adalah kali pertama saya dapat menunggang motosikal dalam tiga bulan yang panjang. Kami menguji beberapa bahagian dan pada penghujung hari saya melakukan beberapa pusingan hanya untuk bersuka-ria. Perasaan itu tiada tandingannya! Saya sangat gembira dapat bekerjasama dengan pasukan saya lagi. Saya kini menantikan ujian seterusnya di Le Mans, pada pertengahan Julai. Saya mahu kembali ke gelanggang litar untuk berlumba secepat mungkin dan saya rasa kami sangat bersedia untuknya. ”
Werner Daemen, pengurus pasukan: “Di Zolder kami memfokus untuk menguji bahagian atau alat baru dan Kenny melakukan tugas yang sangat baik. Kami uji kerja berpasukan dan berusaha lebih pantas. Sudah tentu, kami mengikuti langkah-langkah keselamatan baru berdasarkan COVID-19, juga untuk membiasakan mereka untuk ujian dan acara berikut. ”

First roll out for the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team in a private test on the Circuit ZolderLast week, for the first time since the start of the corona pandemic, a scaled-down version of the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team was found at Circuit Zolder in Belgium to test a few new parts for the BMW S 1000 RR as part of a track day by the Motorsportschool Zolder. Kenny Foray came all the way from France and was looking forward to his first laps in three long months. It wasn't really an endurance test, but it was an important gathering of the team to get workflows and equipment as prepared as possible for the next big event – the 24 hours race at the Circuit Bugatti in Le Mans, France in August.Kenny Foray:“It was really great to be in Zolder. It was the first time that I had been able to ride the motorcycle in three long months. We tested a few parts and at the end of the day I did a few laps just for fun. The feeling was incomparable! I was so happy to be able to work with my team again. I am now looking forward to next test in Le Mans, mid-July. I want to get back on the racetrack as soon as possible and I think we are very well prepared. ”Werner Daemen, Team Manager:“We started testing again as a team last week. It is still difficult to travel in Europe, but it should be possible again from mid-June. We tested the teamwork and tried to get even faster. Of course, we followed the new security measures based on COVID-19, also to get used to them for the following tests and events. At Zolder we focused on testing new parts and Kenny did a really good job.
